We have been repairing printers since the day they were first launched on the market. We offer services for so-called Kiosk Printers and for Ticket and Key Printers with or without magnetic and RFID coding.

mikmek runs a fully equipped and technically advanced service department. We handle service on card readers, printers from well known manufacturers such as Boca Systems, Swecoin/Zebra TTP, TTPM2 and TTPM3, Intermec, Datamax, Star, Cetwin TEP, Custom POS- and Kiosk printers and ASSA ABLOY VingCard KDE encoder service for marin- and hotel use.

Mikmek is acting in aviation/ferry providing boarding, bag tags and strips printers. All of our printers are using the direct thermal print technology allowing simple mechanics, reliability as well as a perfect print quality.

But there’s more ... We assign you an individual technician that you can talk to if you have questions or need advice. We arrive promptly at your location. mikmek and Boca Systems have an effective service support in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, United Kingdom, Netherlands the Baltics; Lithuania, Estonia,Latvia and in Russia, St. Petersburg area.
And, upon request, we offer a quarterly, mid-year, or yearly examination that will extend your equipment's lifetime.

In addition to our regular service operations, we are currently helping clients with service on their own products. Technical Support and Maintenance/Repair

Shipping or Delivery for Service

  • Please print, read, and fill out the attached dokument service_order_mikmek_form.pdf (PDF).
    Please enclose this document with printer or encoder when sending it to mikmek for service.

Make sure to comply with the following:

  • Pack the printer preferably in its original box. If you no longer have the original box, please make sure to pack it in an adequate size box with some form of protective material, to ensure that no damage is caused during transportation.

  • Always include a small batch of original ticket stock (50-100 tickets). This enables our engineers to fine-tune the printer to your needs.
    Include a detailed fault description (explaining what fault you were experiencing, what it does not do / what the printer suddenly stopped doing).

  • Make sure to inform us about your shipping and billing address, plus the name, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address of the contact person.

If one or more of the above is not done, this may lead to delays in repairing and returning your printer.

Ad hoc Repair Services:

Our repair services cover all models of Boca thermal ticket printers and Boca kiosk printers. As well as providing the highest level of service possible, our goal is to offer our customers, the most competitive prices. Our customer retention and loyalty is testament to our high level of service.
We offer the fastest turnaround times in the Scandinavia. Our turnaround time is three days, and in some cases we can offer turnaround within 24 hours.

Fixed Rate Repair Service:

We guarantee the same labour charge no matter how much time is needed to repair your printer. If any parts are required to complete the repair you can be assured they will be sourced and replaced.
The fixed rate includes pick-up, return delivery, all labour and replacement parts (excluding cutter unit and print head replacement). This does not cover missing parts or repair to damaged logic boards is excluded.

All repairs come with 90-day warranty as standard.

Preventative Maintenance Service:

We recommend that all printers have a preventative maintenance done in order to ensure the printer runs smoothly. This service includes cleaning, calibration of sensors, firmware upgrade. This service excludes any replacement parts.

Boca Maintenance Agreement:

Once your printer has been repaired why not take advantage of our Boca printer maintenance agreement? Regular preventative maintenance helps to guarantee the reliability of your printer and all your parts (excludes replacement print head and silent cutter units) and labour is included. Our priority is to ensure that your printer is fully functioning all year round. Boca Rental Service:

If you require a Boca printer for short or medium term and do not want to purchase a new or refurbished printer, than why not take advantage of our rental service. Depending on your requirements, we can supply you with identical or similar (all printers we supply will be of the same specifications) Boca printers what you current use.
